Pilates

We have a dedicated prenatal and postnatal Pilates mat class delivered by our Pilates instructors who are specially trained in this special area.  Pregnancy is such an exciting time but also one where the changing needs of the body need to be understood and supported.  Similarly the postnatal period is one of immense happiness and enormous emotional and physical rollercoasters.  We’re dedicated to providing the specialist care that you deserve.

We also offer beginner level reformer classes which are suitable during or pregnancy.

Before staring class, we recommend that you book a Pilates assessment with one of our physiotherapists to talk about your pregnancy and exercise goals and discuss the best exercise options for you.  If suitable, we recommend starting Pilates classes in the second trimester.  Our specially trained Pilates instructors also offer 1 to 1 Pilates to suit your specific needs during and after pregnancy.

Our pregnancy classes help to enhance your posture, build strength and maintain your wellbeing – preparing you for the challenges of pregnancy and a smooth delivery. Post-pregnancy we’ll help you return to exercise in fun and supportive ways – focusing on pelvic strengthening and tummy muscle recovery.

I really enjoy Helen's Pilates classes. I love her energy, she gives lots of cues to have the correct form for each move. She also comes and checks, corrects posture if necessary. I like the varied exercises, it keeps it interesting week after week, and that it’s a full body work out every time.
