We have a dedicated prenatal and postnatal Pilates mat class and a women’s health reformer class delivered by our specially trained Pilates instructors and physiotherapists. Pregnancy is such an exciting time but also one where the changing needs of the body need to be understood and supported. Similarly the postnatal period is one of immense happiness and enormous emotional and physical rollercoasters. We’re dedicated to providing the specialist care that you deserve.
We also offer beginner level reformer classes which are suitable during or after pregnancy.
Before starting a Pilates class during your pregnancy, we recommend that you book a Pilates assessment with one of our physiotherapists to talk about your pregnancy and exercise goals and discuss the best exercise options for you. If suitable, we recommend starting Pilates classes in the second trimester. Our specially trained Pilates instructors also offer 1 to 1 Pilates to suit your specific needs during this special time.
Post natal Pilates offers many benefits to new mummies, such as:
- Improving posture
- Preventing back pain
- Boosting positive mood & confidence
- Abdominal muscle retraining
- Improving pelvic floor strength
- Improving overall strength
Your 6 week post natal GP check is the perfect time to ask your GP to confirm your readiness for exercise. We then generally suggest booking your post natal assessment with one of our women’s health physiotherapists at 6 weeks post vaginal birth or 12 weeks post C- section. Sidrah Shah and Luiza Kessler, our commmited and passionate women’s health physiotherapists, are on hand to offer advise and dedicated treatments to get you back to doing everything you enjoy in life – as a mummy!
Pregnancy and postnatal mat Pilates classes
Our small, bespoke sized pregnancy and postnatal mat classes offer a friendly and positive space to focus on your well being. We aim to help enhance your posture, build strength and maintain your wellbeing – preparing you for the challenges of pregnancy and a smooth delivery.
After your delivery, we look forward to welcoming you back to help you return to exercise in fun and supportive way while focusing on pelvic floor muscle strengthening, tummy muscle recovery, pelvic stability, posture and building up overall strength.

Women's health reformer Pilates classes
We’ve designed a specialist women’s health reformer class which specifically targets all the benefits to women’s health. Benefits range from core abdominal and pelvic floor muscle strengthening to training posture and body awareness, stress management and mood boosting to strengthening and flexibility training. This specialist Pilates reformer class, delivered by our women’s health physiotherapists, offers many health benefits and a shared experience among a small, bespoke group of women.
Wednesday 3pm with Luiza at Hampstead clinic
I really enjoy Helen's Pilates classes. I love her energy, she gives lots of cues to have the correct form for each move. She also comes and checks, corrects posture if necessary. I like the varied exercises, it keeps it interesting week after week, and that it’s a full body work out every time.
