Mark Archer
Clinic Manager, specialist Musculo-skeletal and Dance Physiotherapist, qualified APPI Pilates Instructor
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, HCPC, MCSP
Mark treats a range of musculo-skeletal, chronic pain and sports injuries alongside his dance specialism. He has an integrated approach to treatment – blending movement, exercise and hands-on therapy with relaxation, imagery and mindfulness. Mark has worked with regional rugby squads, England women’s rugby, high performance academies, athletes, martial artists and gymnasts – as well as backstage at rock concerts, on film sets, and recently with the touring Alvin Ailey dance theatre company. At the Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Mark developed strength & conditioning protocols, participated in their Dance Science Masters programme and wrote an undergraduate Dance Science module – Psychology and Injury Management within the Dance Population. Mark also enjoys smaller projects, such as Breakalign – an injury prevention programme for break-dancers.
Mark travels to Italy each year as a teacher and therapist for Dance Italia – an international summer school for contemporary dance. Outside of work Mark loves to run, jump, roll, climb, dance and play with any and all movement practices. He has a long history of training in martial arts, as a sprinter and a rugby player, before injury convinced him to become a Physiotherapist.
