Marina Guarnieri
Pilates Instructor
Marina is originally from Rome, where she trained professionally in Contemporary and Classical Dance. Since moving to London in 2010, Marina has continued working internationally as a Contemporary Dancer and Choreographer.
Pilates became an integral part of her training many years ago when Marina noticed the positive influence it had on her control and alignment. As well as improving her own body awareness profoundly, using the method in her dance classes helped others improve their posture and prevent injuries.
In 2014 Marina decided to delve deeper and train as a STOTT Pilates instructor – she is Certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Injuries and Special Populations. She continues attending Workshops and Courses regularly, such as Pre/Post Natal, Breast Cancer Rehab, Pilates with a fascial focus, Pilates and the Menopause and many more.
Coming from a dance background, Marina has a keen eye for detail and has been working for over 15 years in movement, developing a passion for alignment, posture, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Marina strives to share that passion and all the benefits with her clients making them feel safer and freer to move in their daily lives.
You can expect challenging and engaging classes, with exercises selected and modified to suit everyone’s individual needs.
In her free time she likes to go to the theatre for concerts and dance shows, and makes sure she is always properly caffeinated.
Wow… today’s class with Marina was one of the BEST classes I have experienced in my 5+ years at APPI Hampstead. She attended each one of us by walking around the room and commenting and/or gently correcting each participant. I skipped out of class with the knowledge that I truly challenged myself.
