Meet the team
Co-founder of APPI Clinics, Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor
B.Physio MHPC, MCSP
Elisa has taught Pilates for over 20 years, ever since discovering the method while training as a ballet dancer in Australia. With interests in dance medicine and Physiotherapy, Elisa graduated from LaTrobe University in Melbourne with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. After gaining an international scholarship and travelling to the UK, Elisa trained with several internationally-renowned Pilates Teaching Schools. Recognising the potential of Pilates for clinical rehabilitation, Elisa and Glenn Withers developed the Modified Pilates programme and co-founded the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. APPI is now internationally recognised as a leading Pilates teacher trainer. Elisa has also pursued her interest in dance medicine, having worked with both the Royal Ballet School and the English National Ballet.
Elisa immerses herself in the APPI team, services and clients – as well as the physical spaces, community partners and ever-evolving technologies. When not practising Pilates (which she loves to do a lot), you’ll find Elisa out running on the beautiful Hampstead Heath, exploring the great city of London or growing fruit and veggies – with her five(!) children always in tow.
