Pilates classes
Pre-assessment
If you have an injury, we recommend an initial consultation with a Physiotherapist so we can make sure classes will work for you – as some injuries will require closer supervision and treatment. In a 30- or 60-minute assessment our Physios will look at your posture, joint movement and functional activities like squats, lunges and balance. Then we’ll go through the 5 basic principles of Pilates and how to apply them to Pilates exercises.
If you are looking for somewhere new to do Pilates or have never tried it before, APPI is a wonderful centre to learn and continually improve. The classes are small and you really benefit from the expertise of the therapists.
Mat Pilates
Based on a set of principles that exercise the whole body through a range of mat-based exercises. Great for improving movement and wellbeing, and suitable for all ages and abilities.
Reformer Pilates
Using an exercise machine to create a more intense and challenging Pilates workout to improve tone, muscle strength, endurance, coordination, flexibility, mobility and posture.
Circuit Pilates
Our Wimbledon studios offer a challenging workout on all the Pilates equipment – reformer, cadillac, split pedal chair, barrel and mat. A 1 to 1 experience is advised before you take the class.
1 to 1 Pilates
For injury recovery after Physio or just to have close supervision. You’ll use mat and equipment while focusing on your specific fitness or rehabilitation goals. These sessions can be 60 or 30 minutes.
Duet Pilates
Working out with a friend or partner can make your exercise much more enjoyable. Duet Pilates is just that – one instructor, two people working towards your joint goals for 60 minutes.
Our beautiful studios in Wimbledon and Hampstead have timetables of classes throughout the week – taught in-person and online. Our classes are led by experts who enjoy welcoming you and helping you to get active and feel better.
