Where we are

Emma Ingham

Pilates Instructor

Emma has been an APPI Mat work instructor for two years after qualifying, alongside working as a Therapy Support Worker in the NHS. This experience of working on the wards gave her the skills to communicate with patients at various stages of life and gave her the privilege to encourage and prescribe movement, witnessing its direct benefits to physical and mental wellbeing.

Emma is now finishing her second year of studying Physiotherapy at King’s Collage London. She has continued to teach Mat work Pilates alongside her studies within athletic and non-athletic populations.  This has allowed her to put the theory of the body she has learnt in the classroom into practice; highlighting the importance of a highly individualised approach to each person depending on needs, motivation and capability.

Emma has competed in a variety of sports up to national level including horse riding, netball and sprint hurdles.  As a competitive long-distance runner, she has seen the benefits Pilates not only has had on her performance but injury prevention.

She is passionate about optimising physical health and she has lots of energy to provide a safe, motivational environment for individuals to reach their goals.
