Sam Wells
MSc Physiotherapy, BSc Sport Rehabilitation
Sam graduated from St Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Rehabilitation in 2012. He then worked in professional sport at Gloucester Rugby Club, before returning to university to study at King’s College London – graduating with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2017. Since then, he has over 10 years’ experience working in private practice, specialising in sport and running injuries. As well as being a Physiotherapist, Sam is also a qualified Running Coach, enabling him to perform biomechanical analysis and gait retraining. With his strong rehabilitation background, Sam’s a firm believer in movement retraining, giving the patient the tools and education to unlock their movement potential, helping them enhance their lifestyle or improve performance.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys all things sport – in particular rugby, running, swimming and cricket. When not able to be outside, he enjoys cooking in the kitchen and more recently brewing his own beer.
Really positive experience with Sam at APPI. Very friendly and thorough approach in all areas, supplying me with the tools so that the issue stays fixed!
My treatment with Sam have been of great help and possibly the best turning point after years of chronic back pain.
