Jane Woolley
Yoga & Pilates Instructor
Jane has a background in Dance, Yoga and Pilates. She is a qualified STOTT Mat & Reformer Pilates teacher, a 500hr Vinyasa Yoga Teacher and has an MA in Dance Education. Her love of Pilates and Yoga grew from 20 years of teaching dance in professional dance companies, universities and schools where she developed a passion for making the joys of movement accessible to all. Jane has extensive experience working in healthcare settings delivering Movement for Health classes across London hospitals as part of English National Ballet’s Dance for Health programme. She also teaches Pilates and Yoga in the SW London schools and studios.
Jane’s teaching is informed by her breadth of training and years of working with a wide range of people from professional dancers to children, pregnant mums and older adults. Jane shares her knowledge of Pilates alongside her own experiences rehabilitating her body after injury and three pregnancies. She encourages students to develop a deeper body awareness which helps them improve their posture, reduce tension and the risk of injury. By blending her knowledge of Pilates with yoga, breathwork and meditation students feel strengthened and energised after class, but also leave with a sense of calm. Jane aims to help students feel rebalanced both mentally and physically. Outside of work Jane enjoys spending time with her three girls, travelling and exploring the great outdoors and visiting the surfing beaches of Cornwall.
