Meet the team

Shelly graduated from South Peninsula Technical College in Cape Town, South Africa with a Secretarial Diploma in 1989. Shelly later trained as a massage therapist through the London School of Massage and gained a Massage Diploma in 2017 with a merit and Ante/Post-natal Massage in January 2020. Before moving to the UK at the end of 2008, Shelly had worked in retail, hospitality, car hire and as PA to a hotel CEO, a lawyer and the owner of a game reserve. The latter was definitely the highlight, with Shelly, her husband and children living on the game reserve! Since 2010 Shelly has worked at APPI. Great customer service is of the utmost importance to Shelly – ensuring that any client goes away with a sense of confidence and knowledge that they’re important to APPI and that they’ll get better and stronger.

“I love time spent with my family and being able to wind down from a busy week. I love reading and walking. My other passion is, of course, massage! I have always enjoyed receiving and giving massage – it feels nurturing, relaxing and is a wonderful way to destress. I feel the benefit of receiving a massage has a profound effect on one’s self.”
