Maddie Tait

Podiatrist
MSc (Hons) Podiatry, BSc (Hons) Sports Science

Maddie is a specialist in podiatric biomechanics and musculo-skeletal injuries – with a particular interest in sports medicine. When assessing clients, she completes functional and video gait analysis to identify lower-limb movement patterns and help towards an accurate diagnosis of injury. She combines this with biomechanical assessments for the provision of orthoses, to reduce damaging forces within injured tissue. She has expertise in both athletic and general footwear, and a special interest in managing adult-acquired flat foot with Richie Braces (ankle foot orthoses). Maddie has worked with a range of sporting athletes in their return from running and overuse injuries. She has extensive clinical management experience for all hypermobility, rheumatological and neurological related disorders in adults and paediatrics. This often ranges from biomechanical problems to inflammatory diseases that affect the musculo-skeletal system, which can be managed with orthotic therapy.

Maddie enjoys the multi-disciplinary approach and regularly refers patients to develop their strength and stability through a rehabilitation programme. She has represented England for hockey internationally at junior age groups, and maintains an active lifestyle enjoying running, road cycling and Yoga!
