Kione Wilkins
Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MHCPC, MCSP
Kione qualified from St George’s University Medical School in 2009. He worked in a range of medical areas in the NHS and it was this point that he realised his passion for Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy and started working in private practice. For the last 7 years Kione has worked in Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy and sports injuries – working footballers, rugby players, cricketers and professional athletes. Kione went on the be the clinical lead at Halsa Physiotherapy and Sports Physiotherapist at Nuffield Health. Kione now specialises in running and orthopaedic Physiotherapy and heads up the Shockwave service at APPI Wimbledon. He’s passionate about helping people to achieve their goals and get them back to peak physical fitness – whether their aim is pain relief, being able to enjoy an active social life or running ultra-marathons.
Career highlights for Kione were working with the development squad of middle-distance runners for the 2012 London Olympics, as well as working at residential basketball camps as a coach and Physiotherapist in the UK and USA. Outside of work Kione likes to run or work out at the gym. He also spends as much quality time with his family as he can, or relaxing at home!
